It Takes a Village ..... and Time

November 15, 2017

Dan and I have been together for 10 years this year and it has been both a challenging and an educational relationship.  I have learnt so much.  This year is the best he has ever been and I have been thinking about what change I have made recently that has made the difference.  After many weeks of thought I have come to the conclusion that it is a NOT just one thing.

Dan has Bowen and does groundwork regularly. I am a long time student of Peggy Cummings and Connected Riding ( a body of work that teaches horse and rider to move freely).  It is so important to change dysfunctional movement patterns to more functional ones.  This takes time and commitment to something that will have a long term effect and not just a quick fix.  I have discovered this even more so over the last 2 years with myself since I found an exceptional Pilates teacher and started running.  The running was a revelation!!

I have also made some changes nutritionally for Dan.  Feeling more comfortable on the inside makes life easier on the outside.  Not that he had anything particularly problematic.  Just that he has a tendency towards over weight which has to be managed and some supplements to reduce inflammation seems to be having an impact.  Again this is something I have changed in myself with pure and potent nutritional products from Synergy WorldWide, most recently with the gut reabalancing Purify program.

In reading this you have probably spotted something else that has changed. ME!!  Lifestyle changes.  Reduced stress, diet changes, movement changes and really enjoying just spending time with my boy.

So to all my Bowen clients who I advise to take up Pilates or something similar, find neutral pelvis, drink plenty of water, get the right nutrition and have Bowen 3 or 4 times a year – I practice what I preach and it does work.
